Hallux Valgus Joint Splint
Dr.Foot Hallux Valgus Joint Splint has flexible joints to allow your toes and feet freedom, allowing you to walk normally, and is equipped with an arch support pad to keep the hallux valgus from worsening. The splint is unique from most hallux valgus aids and is more convenient to use.
Hallux valgus is a condition in which the big toe is tilted towards the small toe by at least 10 degrees and forms a bony protrusion called a bunion. The big toe starts to tilt towards the smaller toes, and in severe cases may cross under the smaller toes, which may cause discomfort when wearing shoes.
Hallux valgus is sometimes hereditary, but most of them are caused by wearing overly narrow or tight shoes or by a collapsed transverse arch.
You can soak your feet in hot water to relax your feet. Wear shoes with wide toeboxes to reduce pain or use a hallux valgus joint splint to reduce friction between your big toe and second toe.

- Open the loop fasteners.
- Slip your foot through the bracer, with the brace alongside your big toe and foot, and hold it in position.
- Bend the toes and place the transverse arch pad in the recess in the middle of the forefoot before sticking it into place.
- Strap on the bracer and use indoors.
If you feel uncomfortable wearing the bracer, start with 1-2 hours, then gradually increase the time wearing the bracer each day.
Use a soft brush, such as a toothbrush, to scrub the brace clean. Place it in a well-ventilated and shaded area to dry. Avoid using washing machine, dryer, hot air, and iron.
